I was an Oxbridge major, so I can speak from experience: your year abroad will rock your world. I didn't go to Cambridge (I went to the CMRS in Oxford), but the whole experience was a whirlwind. You will grow so much as a scholar and a person!

I look forward to reading more about your adventures.

P.S. I found your blog via the Jewell website. I wish blogging had existed when I went abroad, because it would've been a cool way to log my journey.

I agree with your answer to "why video," but I'm not so sure that "why girls," has much to do with sex.

I think the entire purpose of these videos was to reach out and grab the attention of countless numbers of viewers. The point is to be there and get noticed, and that's why it has to be girls.

A group of guys beating each other up on video, that's borderline ESPN. A group of girls beating each other up for no apparent reason, that's going to raise some eyebrows.

Now I direct this question to other random blog readers, at what point does the hit counter equal love? Do you feel good when the number goes up? Does it feel good to be noticed? Do you like to receive comments and know that one more human being is aware of your existence?

How far would you go to drive up that hit counter or get people commenting on or about you? Would you beat someone up?

That's silly, isn't it?

Faulty rationale, I'd have to say.
